Sometimes, in 2016, a female National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) teacher found the standards of black boards at Government Day Secondary School (GDS Famfo Goma in Hadeja, Hadeja Local Government Area of Jigawa State unacceptable to her good conscience and passion to teach. She accordingly set out to replace all the broken boards in the school with white marker boards as part of her community development project.
After several failed attempts at sponsorship, she was eventually referred to the Foundation through contacts that are familiar with our activities. Our values met Ms Idonije’s passion, and we financed Corper Patience’s dream to revolutionize the face of teaching in her school with over 30 white boards plus installation Ms Patience O Odonije is a model of dedication to duty, self discipline, and compassion. We are proud to be her partners in this noble cause while we build even stronger partnerships with the public education sector to increase the opportunities of education to our children
