Unik Impact Foundation Participates In An Advocacy Campaign, Plants Hundreds Of Trees

The Unik Impact Foundation participated in a well publicised and attended advocacy initiative to promote the culture of tree planting and environmental sustainability on the 18th of September, 2019, in Hadejia township, Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa State, North West Nigeria. This followed months of tree planting advocacy campaign by the Foundation using radio jingles at SAWABA FM based in Hadejia.

The event, which was jointly organised by the Foundation and a communitybased organisation, the Hadejia Green Initiative, was attended by the state’s deputy governor, its commissioner of environment, the chairman Hadejia L o c a l G o v e r n m e n t C o u n c i l , representative of the emir of Hadejia, and community based organisations with interest in the environment from other parts of the state among others.


Thereafter, the Foundation led a road show procession to physically plant trees in institutional locations and other strategic public places throughout the Hadejia metropolis.
