Advocacy

At Unik Impact Foundation, we see advocacy as the torch that bears light to illuminate the path of a multitude towards a desired direction, and credible data from locally conducted scientific research as the control that sharpens and guides that light.

Our advocacy efforts are targeted across the core domains of our operations using the most acceptable and widely used means of mass communication within the environment — the radio medium.

Since November 2018, the Foundation has sponsored over 2,000 episodes of advocacy programmes and jingles on SAWABA FM Radio (sawabafm.com), located in Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa State, Northwest Nigeria. These broadcasts reach audiences across Jigawa, Bauchi, and Yobe States.

The programmes aim to reconfigure challenging mind-sets in public and community health, gender fairness and inclusion, women empowerment, social reorientation, and environmental sustainability, including flood prevention and control.
